Dr. Nicolas Kuiper started his academic journey at McMaster University, where he obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology with Honours. In his final year, he became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He later went on to earn his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, graduating Magna Cum Laude. During his time at the Chiropractic College, Dr. Kuiper decided to further his education by taking the Functional Biomechanical Assessment, Foundations in Neurofunctional Assessment and the McMaster Contemporary Medical Acupuncture courses. Continually trying to find ways to better himself for his patients, Dr. Kuiper will obtain his Shift Concussion Certification as well as his Certification in Active Release Therapy come November.
Dr. Kuiper is a well-rounded Chiropractor who believes in incorporating musculoskeletal assessments with a neurofunctional approach when developing his treatment plans, which include Spinal Manipulation Therapy, Manipulation Therapy of the Extremities, Myofascial Release Therapy, Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization, Cupping Therapy and Electro-Acupuncture.
Dr. Kuiper is extremely passionate about health and is looking to help patients achieve their individual health goals. Through his earlier years, he was a well rounded athlete who participated in a number of sports leagues, including hockey where he made it to the Junior Level. For this reason, not only does he want to help the general public, but he also wants to give back to the athletic community by helping players perform at their full potential through performance care, and return to their respective sports as quickly as possible following any injuries that may arise.
